Darn, I was a little late to this one! Seems like a good bang for the buck.

No offense, it is barely my choice. I am only curious that why most of the knives selling here are MIC.

It's not your choice to what? Judge a product for its quality instead of its country of origin? "The Chinese virus" 🤨 That sums it up, right there 🙄 No sense in continuing P.S. You're on a site designed for budget buying...shouldn't be a surprise that a large percentage of things here are imports

Perhaps a silly question from the new guy, but how do we know when (or if) the minimum number of orders are met? I recall seeing something along the lines of “Two more orders are required....”, but for the life of me I can’t relocate that info. Any information or guidance here is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is just for sale, you buy it and they ship it to you. It doesn't have a minimum order quantity or it was already met.

I bought this knife at the Portland Bladeshow last year. It is very well built and has better flipper action than any of my ZTs or WE knives. The blade shape isn't my favorite but the buttery smooth action is fantastic

I’ll preface this by saying that I’m new to the world of knives, but I’ve been an avid and active watch enthusiast/collector for the past 7-8 years....so the notions of fit & finish, attention to detail, craftsmanship etc aren’t completely foreign to me. I recently picked up a Defcon Kabuto via Amazon, having “overthunk” myself right out of time on the Drop that was offered last week. I’m extremely pleased with the Kabuto. To my (albeit inexperienced) eye, the execution is impeccable and the overall quality compares favorably to the more expensive knives I’ve purchased over the past 6 weeks. The action is swift and smooth, the knife carries really well and on the few occasions I’ve put it to work, it’s performed flawlessly. Again, I’m new to all this so take my impressions with a grain of salt. Just wanted to share what little I could, as it seems the brand isn’t all that well known. And for what it’s worth; while I’m a bit reluctant to spend coin on two knives from the same brand this early in my knife journey, I do plan on purchasing one of these. That’s assuming I don’t overthink the color selection....which I’m currently flip-flopping back and forth on every hour or so. Edit: ordered the gray one. Regards.

Damn, this is a steal. I already have enough knives but for the money, this thing is incredible. Yeah, if you're wondering if you should buy this? Yes. It's a lot of knife for little.

There’s a lot to like about this knife. If I hadn’t already blown this year’s (and next’s) toy budget, I’d really consider joining the drop. So for now I’ll just ramble a bit to stir up interest in this interesting knife. A bit more than a Benny gets you premium handle materials, excellent blade steel, a bearing pivot, and a reinforced lock bar. This hits all my mandatory notes for a frame or liner locker, and the drop price makes it a true bargain blaster in my book. One question about the colors: are they painted or anodized? I assume the gray is “natural”, meaning unfinished. I’d probably go for bare titanium ‘cuz I know it’s gonna get scratched if I use it, and all my knives are users, not sitters. The similarities to the ZT0452 noted by @Ryball are pretty clear, thanks for spotting it. That’s the power of the crowd. None of us know as much about knives as all of us together. The similarities verge on clone/copycat territory, except that it has a (hopefully skillfully done) carbon inlay instead of an all carbon show scale, and that mild Tanto blade shape instead of the 0452’s heavily swedged drop point. To reward for the blade shape and inlay, or to punish for copying the ergos? That is the quest, chum. My reluctance (other than budget) is about that “reverse Tanto” blade. To me, it looks more like a double bevel, of which the ZT0055 is an extreme example, but without the benefit of two different grind angles. You could broaden the rear edge yourself if desired, but the grind is fixed. I’m not attracted to double bevels. Frankly I think the 0055 is pretty hideous, sort of a Persian done by someone who couldn’t grind curves. Anyone have experience with Defcon’s fit, finish, and durability? The choice of materials promise a long service life. It really depends on Defcon’s execution. I’ll keep thinking about this one for a bit. If it nags enough, I may have to give in.
You may be confusing the 0452 with the 0462. The 0452 is a mild drop point, the 0462 has a trailing point. Both Sinkevich designs.

Oh yeah I haven't looked closely at one in forever, you two are right it's got a vestigial drop to it. I had remembered the point being slightly more in line with the spine one I guess

The lock side looks a lot like the Zt0452.
