Psst, hey, Drop. You forgot to put photos of the other side of the knife. Ya know, the side with the pocket clip and the lock bar? Yeah, that side. How did nobody realize that? Instead, you got people in the comments doing it for you. I mean really, and be honest with me, but how stoned were you when creating the page for this drop? Better yet, what kind of sticky icky was it? Girl Scout Cookie? Super Skunk? Alien Crack? Alaskan Thunder Fuck??? Yeah, I bet it was that ATF. That shit is so good. Can I have some, too, please?

JediJon100% Agree and the worst part is this isn’t the first time it’s happened! Another knife they did the exact same thing! I really don’t know who’s running the show there but co’mon you lying pony soldiers! Get your act together!

JaegerDSure! That one way of putting it. A broken record that keeps playing, and playing, and playing...until somebody actually listens, realizes what's wrong, and decides to fix it. I figure if I nag them enough, they'll finally get their shit right. When I was a kid, my mom would use a similar tactic. She'd get on my case about something, knowing eventually I'd get annoyed to the point where I would remember to do whatever it was, just so she would stop bothering me. Worked quite well. So well in fact, she stopped nagging me altogether. Because I stopped giving her a reason to. I'm looking to achieve a similar goal here with Drop.

JediJonThey're not stoned it's actually a tactical decision, cause it's also the side of the blade that says China on it. Blades imported into the US have to have their country of origin clearly permanently printed on them, as you all know I'm sure, and Drop, regardless of years of commentary, is not going to include this obvious and important information in the specs even though their community very much wants them too, and even to the point of not including a shot of half of the product, they do everything they can to keep sales up and hide the origins because they know there's a lot of ill will towards Chinese manufactured products. Not from me but it's a fact, and it does affect sales, so they are purposely leaving it out, I'm certain of it. They don't bother on the lower cost ones because folks kind of expect that a blade under 50 bucks is gong to have to be made in China.

KavikNot to everyone, I didn't even care about knives and mechanical keyboards one bit till I got into then by trolling Drops every day. And who's to say it might not be made in Thailand or anywhere else for that matter, we're not all super smart like you Soooooo there you have it.

Glen8But those same people expect knives under $50 must be made in China? Not Thailand? Not somewhere else? Rock solid logic all around, bud 🤔 I'm not saying Drop shouldn't list manufacturing countries on all their listings, but the idea that they didn't show the lock side because they think that will stop people from figuring it out is absurd. 3 seconds on google will tell you where any of these knives are made. They're not tactically clever, they're perpetually lazy. If that's the only image given to them by the manufacturer, that's all they bother to put up...even though they should know by now that their members here expect better

KavikLazy indeed. I've seen straight up photos from BladeHQ used in some Drops, which I doubt they asked for permission to use. Still, how hard is it to take a couple photos? Especially this day in age, where everybody has a smart phone with a decent camera, or a really good camera, or even just a camera. Look, I'm gonna give Drop a freebie here to do with however they'd like. Just get a intern with a iPhone, paint a empty box flat white, point some light at it, and voila! Now just use your phone or camera to snap some pictures. All at minimal to no cost. That's right, Drop, you heard correct. Little to NO cost. Like yo, It's 2020. Time to get your shit together and come join us in the future.

JediJonYou're assuming they have the product in hand before the start of the sale. I believe they used to, back when they cared about picking and choosing what items they felt were worth selling... But nowadays? They don't

JediJonYou're assuming the person you want to hear the record is in the same room or even in the same building. Which, from what I've seen of drop this far, is optimistic at best when it isn't a product of theirs directly (or sponsored/collaborated). If only they had a more direct means of contacting them that isn't akin to throwing a message in a bottle into the sea.

KavikEvery time an expensive knife with China is listed on Drop it is missing the opposite side of the knife, and the cheap ones not so. With very few exceptions. I don't personally believe that the manufacturer is supplying 6 or 8 photos of only one side of the knife as you seem to be suggesting, and it happens often enough to suggest a pattern, if you want to believe it's laziness instead of cleverness then ok. It does have an effect on sales, whether you're smart enough to realize that or not. And your comment on my 'logic' completely missed the point on my logic, which is that if it's cheap they don't delete those photos they use them cause who cares, nobody expects a 50 dollar knife to be made in the US, regardless of where else it might be made.

JaegerDOk maybe every other time? Have fun fishing it all out though just for the sake of ARGUING. Maybe, like, read the whole conversation next time so your input isn't so ridiculous, thanks though for exactly proving my point, even though I think you meant to do the opposite.

JaegerDMaybe you aren't following along here, but neither of your 2 examples say China on the opposite side on the blade, so not really relevant to this conversation, except it kind of strengthens my point, so thanks for that I guess

Glen8Not to mention the cheap ones that also don't show the back side? Or the ones that didn't show the backside even when it turns out the word China wasn't printed on the blade anyway? What's the reason then? https://drop.com/buy/qsp-leopard-14c28n-liner-lock-knife?utm_source=appshare&referer=94FC7J 🤷‍♂️ Tell you one thing, I'm smart enough to know that if I'm buying a knife on Drop, i need to spend the 3 minutes it takes to do my own research on it, because no one at Drop knows or cares enough to give us the info we want/need anymore. And that goes for cheap or expensive knives equally.

KavikI think we both agree that they should state the origin and also should show shots of the whole knife, if you want to just argue I can think of a lot more interesting subjects to argue about.

Glen8I'm just pointing out your hyperbolic statement that falls short. It sounds pretty ridiculous to say "every time "to then back pedal down to half. If you want to make points that are to be taken seriously, make serious points, dont stretch points to such lengths and get pissy for the points being addressed for how lucrative you had to bend the bracket to aid your point And all the Chinese origin blades I have do not have that badging (to clarify, a made in china or just china badging) on the blade. So whatever reasoning for companies to put that on there seems arbitrary at best And since it sounded like you wanted it, here you are two more Chinese knives, but with china on the blade now. Pretty hard to find listings with only one side shown, made in china, AND has a china badging on the blade. Even the Ferrum forge, drop, We Knives collaboration blades do not have it from the two Ive looked at. Most made in china blades on drop seem to not have that laser engraved on the blade, from the armchair detective work I've done thus far...which was not a whole lot of effort https://drop.com/buy/al-mar-ultralight-titanium-folding-knife
