A fixed blade that doesn’t follow convention, the Defcon TD004 sports an aggressive blade for myriad outdoor tasks. Shaped like the head of a spear, the blade is made of air-hardened D2 steel. To ensure maximum control, the G-10 handle has two large choils, perfect for finger placement. This not only makes for a comfy grip, but also reduces the weight of the knife significantly. Still, if you’re looking for a lightweight carry, look elsewhere. The TD004 clocks in at half a pound without the included kydex sheath, making it a great choice for heavy-duty slicing and piercing. If you regularly need to saw, opt for the partially serrated version.
