Just when i was starting to think about replacing my pads. If only you had these in EU stock, add the VAT on top and these are just retail price if ordered to europe from USA.

Any suggestions for the lcd xc? Or should I stick to my original leather memory foam earpads? I imagine the original are better for sound, Also is it safe to use a heatgun on my wooden! headphones to remove the old pads without destroying them?

Keep the original leather pads. I have tried suede pads aswell as leatherette pads. They just do not sound that good. Too bright especially with the leatherette pads.

I have the LCD-4 and noticed on the Dekoni site it states that you have to get the spacer pad for the LCD4. I called Audeze and they do not have a spacer pad anymore, but require you send the headphones to them along with whatever pads you want on them. Is the spacer still required for the newer (2018) LCD-4? Has anyone installed replacement pads on the LCD4 and not had any driver issues?

If you have an LCD-XC get the velours, they are awesome. Fixes most of the short comings. I am tempted to get the hybrids and I might do a full video review.

I managed to get a FR graph and it evens out the treble quite a bit bass is also pretty even with mild hump at 1k and then a mild dip from 1k to 3.5k. Being a bass lover i bump up the lower frequencies by a few db and the sound is awesome. Isolation is lost but the difference is worth it, the bottom line if you have an XC or closed back then give the velour pads a try.
