these created a much better seal on my pc37xes, r much more comfortable, improves the bass response, and best of all, r cheap. extremely worth it - makes the headphones barely more than msrp if u get them on sale, and makes them the best version of the cans.

So soft!
I bought the Dekoni Elite pads for my Sennheiser PC37X gaming headphones. I love that they are so soft and feel so great. The PC37X has a little bit of a tight clamping headband in which thick pads would not be the best suited for these headphones. The Dekoni Elites are very thin without lacking on cushion in the pads. They are perfect! The sound seal is a lot better with leather pads as well. The original stock pads were actually pretty good and really didn't need to be upgraded if I was on a budget. BUT, the Dekoni Elite pads out perform the stock pads in every category. I'm very happy with this upgrade.

Bought the elite hybrid for the hd6xx and it definitely feels better than the stock fabric pads. They don't mess with the sound either (at least from what my plebeian ears can discern) They are also noticeably warmer, not by a lot, but enough to notice. I don't know if it's worth $50, but the hybrid has a much more comfortable and cushy feel, good enough for me to just forget about them for the most part.

Immensely Comfortable.
My HD800S is already very comfortable with the stock pads, but the hybrid dekoni's make them even more comfortable, while only slightly affecting the overall sound signature.

tyler.tranCan you explain in basic terms what the elite hybrid pads did to the sound signature (bass, mids, treble, sound stage)? Thank you!

I bought the fenastrated sheep skin pads for my HD800S despite all the warning over internet. I must admit I love the build quality and feeling of lambskin on my face, however this earpad made my HD800S sounds horrible. Stage of the instrument is messed up. Bass is reduce. High is worse and details are gone. Overall, it made the sound of HD800S sounds like 100USD headphone. I tried using it for a month and when I swaped the pad back, I feel like I got a new headphones.

Kunut_VorapipatI just tried some. The bass goes away and the treble peaks become more pronounced.

Kunut_Vorapipatcan you share a bit more about the sound stage? How was the sound stage? Why was it messed up? Thank you.

I bought the Fenestrated Sheepskin. It made my HD6XX sound worse. It elevated the bass, bloated the mids and drastically attenuated the highs making the HD6XX sound muffled. I put the original pads back and the HD6XX sounded great again. I read honest reviews from other forums (not the paid reviewers) and found the similar feedback with the fenestrated version. I wish I did more research before buying this. Since Massdrop doesn't accept returns, I guess I have to keep it (or sell it) unless I buy an HD600 which others claim to match the fenestrated version better than the HD6XX.

I purchased the Dekoni velour pads for my HD650s which are 9 years old - I had worn the originals down to almost nothing. The Dekonis were cheaper than buying official Sennheiser replacements and fit very well. They are firmer than the Sennheiser pads that come with the HD650 and HD6XX (I have a pair of 6XXs as well) and the cups are deeper which is great if you find your ears touch the inner foam a lot with the stock pads. In terms of sound, there is a noticeable increase in warmth and bass with the Dekoni pads. Personally I prefer detail and resolution over bass and warmth, but I may be able to EQ the headphones to deal with this. It would have been nice if they had been able to include new foam discs with the pads, as my discs are also worn out and full of holes, but I'll just source some elsewhere. Update Feb 2020: the Dekonis started to come apart at the seams after very little use so I simply purchased some genuine Sennheiser replacement pads, which are a lot better.

Nice but pricey
Well built ear pads at a better than market price. I wish all ear pads were a bit cheaper though. Audiophile replacement ear pads are the iPhone cases of the Audio world. Too expensive for what they are, but we all grin and pay the premium :-)

Very comfortable but sound worse PC38x
So I bought these at the same time as the PC38x. PC38x came first, and used the stock velour pads which are very comfortable (just a comfy headset overall, especially coming from a Logitech G430). I wear glasses sometimes, and the velour were strictly 'good' regarding long term wear with glasses for me. They're metal, and kind of dig into my ears if I don't position them correctly, but this is the case for every pair of headphones I have tried. Some are just worse at accommodating glasses than others. Again had I known what I do now, I probably wouldn't have bought the choice leather pads since the velour were fine. Now onto the Choice leather PC38x pads. Firstly, they are more comfortable. They isolate more, and fully 'seal' around the bottom bit of my ear, whereas the velour feel like they could compress a bit more. I have a big head (not maxing out the PC38x headband or anything) and small ears so maybe a weird combo lol. These pads are squishier than the velour, and are more comfortable with glasses. Comfort is 'great' for glasses long wear. The pads are close in comfort to the Bose headphones 700 (regarding firmness) but do seem more tacky. I'd give these a glowing review had they not affected the soundstage so significantly. I'm really shocked how much they changed the sound profile. It sounds muddled; bass does appear more pronounced but not necessarily in a 'good' way for my use case (CSGO and Rocket League mainly lol). They just don't have the same luster that they once had with the velour. I'll likely keep them, as they are more comfortable and maybe they'll break in or something. They do look nicer with these pads on too. Overall I'd say stick with the velour pads if you're after a better experience and think the velour are comfortable. Grab these if you're trying to make the Pc38x comfort work and are outside the return window.
