Here are FR graphs:

Dekoni *must* do this for all their pads - I did not like the fenestrated or sheepskin pads on my TH-X00, but love the fenestrated pads on my HD600 (but not HD650!). I'm also trying to track down a sensibly priced HD800 to do some pad rolling.
I was hoping these pads would warm up my Clear a little, but I see a fairly big boost at 8kHz across the board.
easo91If they're measured on the same rigs, does it really matter? Any weirdness would be reflected on both charts, with the differences between the two reflecting what the pads are actually doing. It's when you have stock measurements on one system and pad-rolled measurements on another system that you encounter problems.
thefitzI was excited until I looked at the measurements. Those measurements put the pads in a bit of a bad light. Dekoni makes great pads. I think I'll skip the Focal line for now and wait for the reviews.
DeadWolfSAThere is no doubt the Dekoni pads are well made - whether or not the improve the sound of a headphone varies from set to set. Fenestrated pads turned my TH-X00 into a laptop speaker, and the same pad type made my HD650 sound like I stuffed my ears with cotton balls. The same exact pads on the HD600 is magic.
junkiRegardless, the hybrid pads are extremely interesting to me. Bringing up the upper mid range while keeping the treble down is exactly what I'm looking for.
thefitzAll your sound stage preference! But we have multiple versions of materials to accommodate different listening preferences! Thanks for the feedback and enjoy!
thefitzI change my HD 650 pads from stock (which is worn) to elite sheepskin (From Dekoni not Massdrop) and later to the velour (From Massdrop) . I think the velour or the stock sounds much better than the Sheepskin one.
