Dear Drop, Stop putting these dekoni pads up for sale and alienating all your customers who have purchased the Elex. We do not want dekoni pads. We want authentic stock Focal made Elex replacement pads. What's the point of selling the Elex if you do not provide the option to purchase the original replacement pads for them? Dekoni pads are built poorly and do not provide the same sound tuning as the stock pads. We care about sound. Sincerely, All Elex owners

whatup69Speak for yourself. I give zero craps about the stock Focal pads (or really any stock pad that isn't made of sheep-skin), and tuning can be buggered. I want comfort balanced against cost. I want sheep-skin with tiny holes. Hell, my plan for this morning was to order a set of pads directly from Dekoni, then I saw this. Sure, I'll have to wait a few weeks for my product for that $20 in savings, but Dekoni is known to ship the Drop orders *very* quickly.

whatup69What are you talking about? You should be thanking massdrop for offering variety? If you dont want dekoni then wait for the focal pad drop. I like having options and getting mad about having more then one option is dumb.

jackbkmpNot to mention that they did have a recent drop for the Stock Focal Elex pads and it was an absolute disaster, on top of them being the worse quality pads I have in my whole pad collection... after that experience I would much prefer this Dekoni option.

bfitzAwesome! Let me know how they sound! I recently got my Audio Technica A2000Z from the last drop on here and holy sh*t do they sound incredible. Stock pads are a little small/uncomfortable so i just threw on some Fenestrated Brainwavz XL to test and wow... so far so good! Might be my new favourite closed back cans, or at least up there pretty high. I need the Dekoni Fostex pad drop to come back to grab the TH900 pads and try some of those out as per @ZeosPantera 's review on them.

Muscle_CowSpeaking of new gear, I managed to sneak a listen to some Sundaras before we all had to lock down. They were new earpad version. WOW. I can't believe they are less then $500. They have way more energy and, I think, a better overall tonal balance than the LCD2C At the price that are going for I am very tempted to pick up a pair.

Muscle_CowThey are very well made pads. Roomy opening for larger ears(like my Dumbo ears, lol). And padding is dense enough to not completely collapse from high clamp but plush enough for long listening. I had great success with a pair of zmf cowhide on the 4xx. This time around I chose the lambskin. They don't alter the sound in anyway other than adding a little more sub bass and rumble. These are going to the first set of planars I plan on keeping for a long time. Very impressive performance for such a small cost.

bfitzI've bought a couple sets of these pads and they are super nice as well. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07R2FKMTD/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I got one pair of them on my Audio Technica A2000Zs I got from here last Drop. Probably about half the cost of the ZMFs? I still want to snag some ZMFs though to see the difference.
