Well, the reviews are in: the pads enhance the treble, they attenuate the treble, they don't change the sound at all. They are better than the originals, they are worse than the originals, they are the same. So, I think I'll buy them, I won't buy them, I might buy them...

@dekoni and @DekoniAudio I would like to try changing my stock 4xx pads so i can experience more bass boost from them, cuz they sound tinny to me. Which one can you recommend me ? The sheep skin ? Perforated sheepskin or the others ? Thank you for your replies.

Hi! I'd recommend the Sheepskin or Hybrid. Either should give you a nice bass bump. Thx!

Sheepskin is the way to go here. I've got both the Sheepskin and the Fenestrated. The fenestrated is ok and mostly sounds stock... the sheepskin mellows out the highs a bit and gives more of a bass boost.

If you like I'll sell you my set. They've barely been used. I swapped them with sheepskin a week after I got them, but fenestrated sounds good too...

Hey, anyone know the dimension to those? I own a Philips Fidelio X2 but they dont make any replacement pads for those and i cant find anything proper on youtube/aliexpress either. These here looks quite nice, but not sure if they fit :/

So, now finally I got them and put them on the X2. Just as reference, this is the exact product: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07H4F5Z8H/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_awdo_HKBpDb6K92PX3 But i think every brainwavz xl pad will be quite the same. I think they work quite well with the x2. I dont think they are as good as the originals but its 90% there for the sound. While being a lot more comfortable than the originals. The most obvious changes would be i think the bass which for some reason is way more there than before. Maybe they get a better seal. But at the same time the x2 gained a certain "airiness" as i would describe it which puts the accuracy a bit down. Its very difficult to pin down what exactly it is. Maybe it would get near it to describe it as the slightest reverb you ever heard. Overall i think the x2 still sound really good but just not the same as originally which is a bit of a bummer. But the original pads were quite uncomfortable for me with my glasses on while the brainwavz pads are quite amazing in the comfort department. So the verdict is: I would never change the originals but it certainly works instead of nothing. As an info: I have not put the pads over the plastic of the originals but instead glued them onto them. So results may very when putting them around them and cutting holes for the pins

It's always hard to reach the same level of sound when changing pads. If you think it's nearly 90% so it's a good option. As you glued it, it will be not possible to roll back in some weeks. I like to use new pads for two or three weeks and then turn back to the originals. As you start geting used to the new ones, you may have a different opinion about the originals. But if you think it's 90% like the original and it brought you extra comfort, this is going to stay on my list when I decide to get a new one. Thank you

Thanks to everyone considering our circular HiFiman pads! In case anyone wants to see a demo of changing the HiFiman pads (which is thankfully quite easy!), here’s our video from Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/1648025465449223/posts/2257567124495051?s=24102574&v=e&sfns=mo
