Alright got the all sheepskin version... My setup: Samsung S7 Edge> USB Audio Player PRO> Audioquest Jitterbug> Chord Mojo>Senn HD650. I play in bitperfect mode and found that the stock HD650 sounded bright and detailed in a good way but the bass was a bit lacking. So I went with the all leather Dekoni sheepskin pads. Sounds warmer and bass is exactly what it needs to be without missing out on detail. Turned off Bit perfect mode i UAPP and it becomes too bassy and muddy. Hope this info is usefull to a fellow user.

Mad_SkillzObviously more bass, but where was it centered? More mid bass and subs, or just one or the other. My preference is similar bass, maybe a touch more and low mids too, but mainly sub bass deep extension and quantity.

MarkUpAlright had a bit more time to get familiar with the different sound. It is similar bass. It is just alot more bass (more than a touch). Overall bass has extended to the lower frequenties a bit. Low mids seem to be a lot punchier now. The HD650 are quite bright themselves and I had to enable bit perfect mode too for these not to sound too bassy/muddy/muffled. I listen too rnb hiphop jazz so the bass is welcome to indicate my preference. If you have already a warm sounding system I would not go for these. Go for the hybrids. I just filled up what was missing for me. Guys just give it a try... this is just another opinion to confuse you more

Mad_SkillzBright is not a description I’ve seen many use for the HD650. IMO the HD6xx is too dark, the highs just sound recessed. Could these opposing descriptions be entirely attributed to manufacturing variation?
I’m hoping that the fenestrated pads add some highs and extend the lows a bit. Starting to think Ive made a poor purchase.
I love the fenestrated pads with attenuation rings on my the Teaks.
For conversation sake, I also own Teaks, HE4xx, PortaPro, T-X0, K553 and ER4P/S

SAFETYpin6The HD 650's highs are not recessed their treble matches the Harman target FR for headphones so the highs are exactly as they should be. The HD 650's have loud upper mid range which is bright. The ear cushions are not going to change the sound significantly, so use an equalizer.

FuckHead-FiFrom a quick google search, I’m not sure that’s correct. it appears to me that the HD650 has a rather large ~10db valley in the treble compared to the Harman target.
