I bought the Elite Velour pads for my 6xx back in November 24, 2017.
I will say they are well made, much more comfortable than the stock pads, and increase the bass punch of the 6xxs.
However, they destroy the sound stage of the headphone itself. After switching over to them I noticed immediately that it was a lot harder locating individual instruments positions in songs. Songs that normally felt like I had a band located all around me were reduced to a sound stage you would normally find in lesser headphones.
Its not Dekonis fault as much as the 6xxs themselves, which are known to change in sound with any aftermarket pads you put on them. I think Dekoni tried their best and put out a quality product, but they unfortunately ruin the listening experience of the 6xx for me.
GilbertTheGreatAs I said above, each pad is different and affects the sound signature and staging in a unique way. If you are unhappy with the Elite Velour, may I offer you a trade to the Hybrid pads that many people in the community have had a good experience with?
