What exactly is platinum protein leather? Is that cow leather or what? Is it bonded leather? I just want more details.

SupersonicIt is usually pleather. They have some process using eggshell proteins to produce the pleather. The platinum stuff is usually just a better quality protein leather over the standard stuff.... Or in this case, it is probably just a marketing term.

BluJay614That's pretty sneaky if this protein leather is just pleather. Sort of dishonest if you ask me.

Supersonichttps://bestleather.org/types-of-leather/protein/ Not really, since pleather simply just a slang term for protein leather, and not something Dekoni coined. It is also a marketing ploy. Use the proper terminology rather then slang, and it can sound nicer, thusly promoting better sales. They arent lying about it, as it is the correct term for the product.
SupersonicIn fairness, people typically consider pleather inferior, but it can actually last longer than real leather. The problem is there's a LOT of cheap pleather that doesn't hold up, so people generally consider it inferior.
