ARGHHH... still no th900 velour...
That sounds like a recipe for treble overload to me... :)
Wouldnt the elite velour do a better job of damping treble than sheepskin?
The loss of bass and already above center treble peaks was what I was referencing. Variants using 900 pads see an increase in the treble spikes due to shape change, add in the loss of bass reinforcement from the material switch and that sounds like too much treble to me. In my experience the loss of bass with velour greatly outweighs the slightly softened treble but as with all things, your ears would be the best judge.
I suppose that they would sound excessively bright on a v-shaped headphone like the th900, but I was just looking for an angled pad using the elite velour material to mess around with. I guess it would be misleading to say they are for th900s, if they would only sound good with other headphones.
