WarningHPBIt's been a long time since I've heard the new stock pads, so I can't make an accurate memory comparison.
however
I don't think it's much different.
And compared to the sound of the old pads(used about 3 years?), I can definitely feel the high-pitched sound.
I don't speak English,well.
WarningHPBI recently purchased this directly from Dekoni/Earpadz for my HD6XX. My original pads are in pretty good shape but I wanted to try these out because they advertise memory foam and increased comfort. While I think these replacements are a bit more comfortable, they definitely change the sound. They make the headphones less airy sounding, noticeably increase the bass, and make the highs really veiled. I switched back to the original pads.
WarningHPBYes, recently received and tested with original pads which have about 2 weeks of usage. Only thing that differs is a bit of the response in the bass, and not by much, but for me the way its presented with the original pads (referring to the sound as a whole) is just a smidge better. Agree with anyone else that mentioned that you retain about 90% of the original pad's signature sound. You can go for them, no problem.
