Moderator note: Please keep discussion civil. If you don't like the product solely because of the price, this is not the pen for you. No need to comment.

andyI agree that calling it "overpriced garbage" is a bit harsh, but I was a bit shocked myself. I think maybe more pictures (like macros) showing the absolute quality might help people stop getting sticker shock. The video is nice, and some of the pens in the video look like they would cost this much, but I think for a drop like this to work there would need to be an exclusive video of the actual model being made. I remember seeing a headphone video (fostex I believe) that showed the build of the cover piece, from drilling the trees to get the dye all the way down to the imprint of the label. I was Impressed!

wontonotnowThe fostex th900 being made is an impressive video for sure! After owning one you can definitely see the beauty and worksmanship in each pair =)
On topic: I feel like I'm missing something about the justification for the price... Judging by other comments I'm not the only one. I currently have a Cross Year of the Snake which is by no means high quality in the world of fountain pen enthusiasts nor is it considered a great deal for the price, but even then it cost me $300 shipped, has a nice design and 18k gold nib.
