These are 3d printed and the cost of churning out heaps of these would be insignificant, even with a stainless steel filament. Why is there such a high price tag attached to it?
CamboBecause you cannot print something like this with a filament. This is stainless steel infiltrated with bronze, electroplated to your color preference.
CamboBecause you cannot make this print with a filament. Filament is far too inaccurate to make a spinning top let alone one this intricate with out having a wild wobble and visual imperfections. This is made from DLMS printing, basically powdered metal gets blasted with lasers, blow away the un-sintered powder, and you have a raw steel top that needs to be polished and electroplated. Basically, they are harder to make than just pushing a button. My hands get quite dirty making them.

Dalton_Bissellwho cares about the process, it looks hideous, the 3d printing process gives a really rough look and probably not something you want in an object like this where it will cause drag.
TigerUKso buy the brass version thats perfectly smooth
CamboBecause it is not made with a filiment printer. They are far far too inaccurate to make a working top. I use a binder jetting style printer.
