I've had this watch for about a month now. It was a watch that I had my eye on for a while and missed the Drop a while back. When I saw it return, I immediately pulled the trigger. It was one of those watches that always caught my eye whenever I would see it in watch blogs, reviews, posts...etc. I wanted a "different" type of watch to add to my collection and everything that I could read about it had positive reviews. So far, it has not disappointed. The case seems very well made, it's keeping good time, it gets a lot of looks and compliments and the bracelet is absolutely killer. It reminds me of the coffin style bracelets on a Bulova and certain vintage watches. The overall watch itself feels like a very well-made, heavy-duty industrial watch. It looks great on the wrist and when you get it outside or in certain lights, it even looks better. The only VERY MINOR issue that I have noticed is the comfort of the bracelet. It is very well made, but the movement is somewhat restricted and it can feel stiff. Adjusting the bracelet may also be challenging. I did not really have a problem with the comfort or the adjustment, but it is just FYI if that is important to you. Also, I had emailed support with some questions regarding the adjustment of the bracelet and Emmanuel Dietrich promptly replied with assistance and information – NICE! In the end…LOVE the watch and I’m happy to add it to my collection.

Stunning time piece
I first saw the TC-1 some time ago on a popular warch blog. The regular price tag has always been too high for me. Drop enters the arena. 800 USD for this watch is just incredible so I took my chance. Received the watch about a week ago an I love it. I have pretty slim wrists so I had to remove some sections of the strap, well at least so I tried. The problem is that the sections are connected by 2 screws one on each side. I took out one of the screws and in the middle there is a little tube that holds the sections together. Didn't want to destroy anything so I brought it to a friend, who happens to be a jeweller. He did it in like 5 mins with the proper tools and set the correct time for me. Wore it everyday since and it feels and looks amazing. To the other lucky people out there who got it: Enjoy! To everyone else: I'm sure you'll get another chance!

Nothing else like it
I was fortunate to find the Dietrich TC-1 on Drop at an amazing price, and picked the blue dial with stainless case and bracelet because I’ve wanted this watch for years. I am happy overall but there are some drawbacks with this particular watch. The case and bracelet are completely custom and other than the common ETA 2824 movement, everything is made specifically for this watch. That of course is the allure - it looks like nothing else out there even though it is inspired by Gerald Genta designs like the AP Royal Oak. But it also means replacement parts may be hard to find so you would have to go to Dietrich for an issue with the case or bracelet. Speaking of which, the finishing of the case and bracelet are fantastic and it really captures the light with the mix of brushed and polished surfaces. The blue dial especially pops in sunlight. The bracelet itself is not a hair puller at all but also doesn’t have much articulation. It looks amazing on wrist and feels more like a solid cuff of metal rather than a silky band. Half links would have been helpful and sizing was a challenge due to the tiny screws and tubes that necessitate holding a screwdriver on either side. One of the screws actually broke off in the tube. Smaller wristed folks may find it hard to get enough bend in the bracelet for sizing. I haven’t tested accuracy yet but it seems fairly accurate out of the box. At least within spec for a non-chronometer 2824. Overall I am happy with the watch, and for the price I paid it feels like a steal since the quality is so high and the look is unique. If the bracelet were a little more supple and easier to size I would have no complaints. I look forward to wearing it more in the future!

Gorgeous Execution of Singular Design
I've been wearing the DD-1

for two days and am very pleased. The way the light catches the exposed pieces of the movement was a nice surprise. The watch wears more formal than I expected, even with the nylon strap. I'd like to try to really dress it up on a leather. Love the hexagonal crown. It's actually more practical than a normal one. The build quality already has me thinking about getting something else from Dietrich.

DD-1 is a very unique swiss-made wristwatch
Really interesting design that is well worth the purchase price. The band that comes with it is OK, but you can find leather replacements for the unique Dietrich-style band online.

Great watch. Very surprised
The watch is really well made. A little finicky to resize. Despite the reviews of the bracelet being a little uncomfortable, I must say this is probably the most comfortable watch in my collection. It conforms perfectly to my wrist. Also, the pictures do no justice to this watch. Trust me, it has to be seen in person to understand how beautiful it is. Dietrich really surprised me here.

Blown away when seeing this watch in person.
I was really struck by the unique-ness of this watch and am a big lover of unique integrated type bracelets, so I thought I would give this one a go. I was not prepared for just how striking this watch is in person, nor all the surprising details I have found. The dial is truly beautiful and plays with light in a beautiful way with the alternating textures. The band is downright mesmerizing (albeit lacking in articulation) and feels really solid. I would say the shape of your wrist may make the comfort (or lack thereof) of this piece, as it really has no give if you have a flatter wrist shape (it just wants to be round). I was lucky that it fits my wrist perfectly with just one link removed, but others may not be so lucky, as there is no micro adjustment. Also, if you, like me like to put your watch in a position to be readyt at night on your night stand, there is no way to get this one to sit so it is oriented 12' up. I found that the heft of the bracelet combined with the modest size (in comparison) of the case makes for an extremely comfortable wear that doesn't suffer from being "floppy" or top-heavy on my wrist, something I am very sensitive about. In addition the lack or articulation actually makes the watch very comfortable for me personally, as it only makes contact with my wrist at a few points and doesn't "strangle" it. Finally, surprised no one mentioned the lume, which is absolutely amazing and on par with the best of my high end watches. Even has different colors for the hour markers, vs the hands, nearly identical to the colors of my Omega 300M 42mm. Truly pleased with my purchase. Definitely a keeper.
