So Dinosaur Island is obviously a great game, but if you go through the pages you'll see a number of different dinosaur models. It is important to realize that these pictures are NOT from the game you will receive from Drop. They are lifted from one of the deluxe editions of the game. While the game itself is still intact, the value of the offering from here is somewhat misleading. What seemed to be an amazing deal for the varied dinosaur pieces turned out to just be an ok deal, on par with a solid amazon offering, or a 'daily deal' type sale at any other online retailer. In my case I was then sort of in a bind as to how much I could do with customer service. I reported what was going on and their response was, understandably, for me to take a picture of the pieces to show them what I meant. The problem here is that by opening the box I immediately lose the 'new' value of the game. This would mean my purchase had been devalued once via version misinformation, and then again to support the claim. Thus I couldn't even get a full trade or sale value for the game if I wanted to pursue the actual deluxe version. So mind you, my complaints are not with Dinosaur Island. Dinosaur Island is a great game. My complaint is with the transaction itself and the fundamental misunderstanding of what was being sold. I love Drop and I am an avid supporter, despite the complaints of quality control and descriptions that are reasonably common, at least in the board game community. That said, I believe that anyone participating in a Drop should round down their expectation in a situation like this where the picture doesn't quite match the description. I took the hit on this one, so maybe learn from me and avoid the same complication.
