If you’re new to coding and want a visual representation of your progress and edits, link your language to an integrated LED device that proudly displays your hard work. A cube of 64 RGB LEDs that can be easily controlled by your computer, the Rainbow Cube Kit lets you try out of all the colors of the sky right at your desk.
Note: At check-out, you can select between the Assembled Kit (+$20) and the DIY Kit. If you go for the DIY, a Rainbowduino v3.0 is available as an add-on(+$17.99).
If you opt for the Assembled Kit, your Rainbow Cube comes ready to roll. All you have to do is plug the included Rainbowduino to your computer, get coding, and you’re on your way. If you go for the DIY Kit, you will not receive a surrounding acrylic box or a Rainbowduino. You can use other micro-controllers with the Rainbow Cube, but only the Rainbowduino is optimized to complement the cube, so it’s advised to add one to your order. After a few hours of soldering, your structure will be all set for the light show.
