DOD RC500S 1080p HD Dash Cam

With all the bells and whistles you’d expect in a quality dash cam, the RC500S is DOD’s flagship system. The star of the show is the SONY STARVIS sensor, which offers full HD recording at 30 frames per second in the front and rear. It features well-balanced exposure for low light, rain, and near infrared conditions. The lens itself is made up of six layers of glass for clarity and authentic imagery. It provides a 145-degree wide angle view to capture everything in sight, while a 10Hz GPS processor logs your location and speed so you can see what route you took or where and at how fast an incident may have occurred. Rounding out the camera are automatic speed trap alerts, a built-in G-sensor that triggers on impact, and parking surveillance mode.
