Packing was basically nonexistent as others have mentioned, but mine does not appear to have been damaged in shipping. It does have several other issues, though. Hoping to get a full refund, and would not buy from Dog Might again. Here's a copy/paste of the support ticket I submitted to Massdrop: First, item is not as described. It was supposed to include chains with hanging lights, but those are entirely missing - from discussions, it seems these are missing from all orders. Second, general build quality is very poor. Specific issues: - Top half of box is badly misaligned from bottom - Front buckle is crooked - Brass corners are poorly aligned (and one is bent) - Fingerprints and scratches in lacquer on bottom of box

The shipping packaging was very substandard, as others have noted. The case I received had none of the issues reported, though. Solid construction on mine, everything squares up correctly, the hardware is all on correctly. I can't say if mine is the exception, or the bad examples are. I have to base my rating on the one I received, which was well made. I dropped a star off for the lousy protection in the shipping package, and the fact the lights weren't included as was advertised.

I have the exact same complaints as @BoredTaco , only I will not be so generous as to give three stars for this shoddy workmanship and carelessness.

Poor Packaging (one layer of thin bubblewrap)
Items Missing (Chains and Lights)
Attention to Detail is Non-Existent

At least a quarter of the joins are not flush. Three quarters of the screws aren't flush. The hardware is bent and poorly installed. This thing is trash. MassDrop will be taking it back and refunding my money, and I won't be buying anything "Dog Might" again.

TomaCzarYours is definitely in worse shape than mine. I expected better work, because I have a small dice tower and dice box from them that seem very well built. They are whole wood pieces connected by magnets, no joinery.

I'm a little disappointed in the construction. The corner filigree is crooked and uneven in a couple spots. I was expecting the kraken sculpt to be part of the upper piece like other dog might items I've purchased, but instead it is a separate, glued on piece. No lights/chains included either. I was honestly expecting better craftsmanship for the price. Maybe it's a result of the holiday rush, along with the shipping delay. Edit: I looked again and noticed that the side hinge for one of the inner flap doors is crooked as well. That's why the door won't sit flat closed unless latched.
