I present to you all: Incompetence, starring UPS.
So, on Thursday, I determined that I would have to go well out of my way to the "local" UPS Shipping facility. An hour away on a good day. On Thursday, I was assured, in no uncertain terms, that my package would be available for pickup on Saturday Morning, July 5th, 2014.
So, I wake up early on my day to sleep in. I drive there. And the package was in the storage trailer, and they would not give it to me today.
Raising my voice in disbelief, I was then told "You are not allowed to yell in here."
So, I wasted three hours of my life today trying to get my package, all because someone at UPS couldn't be arsed to do his job.
This is why I hate UPS. Every package is like pulling teeth. Except pulling teeth actually has uses.

DarkwolfSorry to hear about the troubles that you're having with UPS. It probably doesn't make you feel any better, but talking to USPS is worse, instead of giving you wrong information they just give you no information....

MarkUSPS has keys to my building, and leaves my packages on my doorstep.
UPS only comes during the week, when I'm at work, and wants me to pay them money or to drive to their facility to get my packages. This is far from the first time I've had issues with UPS. This is merely the last straw.
EDIT: OK, I'm heading back to the UPS plant, they say they have my package there.
Wish me luck.
EDIT 2: back from way farther than should be necessary: Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Got it.

DarkwolfUPS is the worst. Have to send things to work (if I'm at all unsure of which carrier will be used) or I'll have the same crappy experience as you described.
