Sizing question, doublewood web site suggests to take a size you feel very tight at the waist to start with, my waist is 31.5", does that mean I should really take the size 30? If the size is not right , any chance I can get an exchange?

MoutonbartonHello Moutonbarton! Thanks for your interest on this drop.
We don't do exchanges as most of our drops are final sale. However, if you mean to say that you're between a size 31" and 32" for most jeans you wear, i'd just go with a size 31" and you should be fine (both of our models are actually size 31 for most of their pants they own and the size 31 fit them just perfectly snug from the start).
If you're actually measuring your waist and not an actual garment, then it would seem that yes, a size 30 would be right for a tight fit that will open up as you break in your jeans. Hope this helps!

MoutonbartonI would compare denim that fits you well to the measurements here. I typically wear a size 31 in jeans and pants, and that's what I took here. I would go with your normal size.

TomasVthanks TomasV, yes, the 31.5" is my actual waist measurement instead of actual garment, the fact that this is a mid-waist pants makes me wonder if I should go for 31 instead of 30... any further advice?

MoutonbartonI would not use your waist measurement as the deciding factor. What size do you normally wear in denim? Do those measurements seem similar to what we listed here? Again, I went true to size and I think that should work for most.
