Jumie@Jumie Being a purist (lol), no that pair hasn't been washed (yet). Been occasionally hung under the CA sun and fridged most of the time.
Here's a diff pair with more mileage (approx 3 yrs, 0 wash), its made from the same exact 13.75oz. selvedge form this drop (indigo ver.). Cheers!
OnePunchMan@OnePunchMan, There are a few vastly different cults in how to maintain raw denim. Personally, I put them in a dedicated chest freezer, primarily to remove odor and (seemingly) kill germs. Also I like that ephemeral chill when I pick up and wear them. In short and to expand, there's no 'right' way to maintain a pair of raw denim; in our opinion it always comes down as personal pref. I would recommend not washing a pair until after a good 6 months of daily wears thou, so that the worn fades can somewhat set in. Cheers.
Doublewood_Denimaw thanks. yea i tend to ruin my jeans few months in with food stains etc. so as much as i love raw, my lifestyle too active to keep em clean and i rip all of my jeans in the crotch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Doublewood_DenimThat's amazing. Being someone who washes clothes after wearing it once, .... The way you do things is way out of my comfort zone? Does it not smell after so long not washing?
it-manDon't pee yourself.
Don't poop yourself.
So basically avoid being homeless or being a drug addicted alcoholic and your jeans should smell fine. :D
