This is a re-branded Edwin Jagger DE89 safety razor. It has a chrome plated zinc alloy head, and a chrome plated brass handle. Even at $55 you are over-paying for this razor by about $20 as the Edwin Jagger version sells for around $35.
Basically you are paying a premium for the etched logo.
Also, in real-world use the shiny chromed handle can get very slippery when your hands are wet which is not ideal in a safety razor. Most razors have textured handles to provide solid grip while shaving, but for some reason this version does not.
