Product Description
A common request among members of the Audiophile Community, this 4-pin XLR-to-2.5mm TRRS adapter is the easiest way to connect 2.5mm balanced cables to the balanced outputs on some of your favorite amplifiers. It works with the Massdrop x MEE audio 2-pin balanced cable set and all other balanced cables currently sold on Drop, and makes a great complement to the Massdrop x Alex Cavalli Liquid Carbon X amp and the Massdrop x THX AAA™ linear amp Read More

Great build quality but useless because I can't read properly...
This adapter is built very well, no doubt. A solid piece of metal (or very hard plastic?) and clean construction. But all of my single-ended headphones have 3.5mm connectors and I'm not observant enough to notice that this product is for 2.5mm plugs. Who releases 2.5mm plugs for their headphones? Not Focal or Sennheiser. English hard. And I don't know anyone who has earphones with a 2.5mm plug to give this to. But then again, this was my mistake. At $20 though, no biggie to eat this purchase. If Drop could create a more useful 3.5mm end >> 4-pin XLR instead adapter, I'd buy a bunch. Back to Periapt cables for optimum results. If you do have anything with a 2.5mm plug, this would be a solid purchase for your gear.

Its own minibox is cool
It works perfectly. The finish if simple and good, feels smooth to the touch.

That is useful tool for XLR system.
I am wonder how DROP can make such a good price and is cheap than most in taobao store. The only problem is:
  1. Take too much time to deliver and the tracker not cannot see useful infomration.
  2. Drop does not show the pin define.

Solid and works.
If you have a bunch of balanced 2.5 mm connectors/cables like I do, this is a God send to save you $$. Also, it's convenient to swap from a DAP with 2.5 mm to the desktop amp with XLRs without having to change the cables each time. While it's 20 bucks and I don't mind paying that for the solid build quality, it would be a nice gesture for Drop to include it along with the standard balanced amps they sell.

Good!
This adapter fits perfectly. I'm not saying balanced connect ion sounds much better than single ended. But if your hp amp has balanced output to your headphone, and if you happened to own headphones like Sennheiser HD6xx, you don't have many choices. Buy balanced cable somewhere else or buy 2.5mm cable plus this adapter at here Drop.com.

Good build quality, works as intended
Bought these to use IEM's with Monoprice THX AAA 887 desktop amp. Works flawlessly, solid connectors and good build quality. Not much else to say really, it works as intended and is a good price, sometimes simplicity is the best option.
