I think I've held out as long as I could for a real Large torso size to come out (not a true Medium size veiled as a M/L). I even used a larger capacity pack than I needed to thru-hike Colorado Trail holding out for maybe a larger torso size being available after I finished because this pack is exactly what I was looking for. I think I'll be settling for another pack, unfortunately. It's really unfortunate that Drop decided to cut out such a substantial segment of the hiker community in this drop.

1tiger1I'd very much like to do a larger size. The challenge is that we'd have to re-open the design and prototype it, which ends up being a fairly lengthy process as we work through a few generations to get it right. After the first batch sold out in August Drop ordered more of the same design because they could do that quickly. And then hopefully they'll be agreeable to also prototyping a larger size for next year. I'm not certain they'll agree, but there's some signs they are open to that. So hopefully we can prototype that over the winter and get a larger size produced for sometime next year. It would be next spring at the soonest, and it's not certain, so if you need a back before then, then it's likely best to go another route.
