Hey everyone!
We're excited to begin offering aluminum cases for our popular ALT and CTRL Keyboards. Just a heads up, these cases have already been made and are sitting at our warehouse. As much as we want to sell and ship them to you immediately, we're currently backlogged at our warehouse (with 10,000 Holy Panda switch orders currently being packed and shipped out the door). In normal times we could adjust our warehouse labor to accommodate these fluctuations but with social distancing requirements, we need to give people lots of space to stay safe!
The ship-date for this run is set to July 22nd and we likely won't deviate from that by very much (i.e. no production-related delays). All photos featured are of direct production units, not prototypes or renders.
If you've got any questions about these cases, leave them here and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

Quick note about the diffuser. These cases are the updated dual magnets per angled feet version.
This means if you had the older single magnet per angled feet ALT from the initial release, you'll need to purchase the diffuser so everything fits and you don't have extra holes in your keyboard. The feet should work a lot better as well.

I have the purple high profile case (Laser), but I'm not into how builky and heavy it is, so I'll think about it.

I was really excited when I saw this, but then I realized the one I thought was white is actually silver :(
Guess I'll move forward with painting my case white. I must complete the Godspeed Apollo theme.

infinitymdmYeah, these are anodized aluminum, and unfortunately, you can't anodize something to be lighter than raw silver, because the coloring is achieved through dyeing the metal. They'd have to do a paint coat or something like that

infinitymdmWell, I went ahead and did it. Matte white plasti dip does a decent job without committing 100%.

When will the high profile alt case launch? Any plan for other texture cases? like wood or transparent cases? Really like the color for low profile cases :D

Is there a chance that additional photos of the various colours when assembled could be provided? Having a hard time trying to figure out how the purple and silver look, especially with the lighting, just from looking at the photos on the CTRL page as well. The silver looks almost white in one of those pictures and the purple is hard to discern. Would just love to see better photos because these are right up my alley!

Will this still fit with a dissasembled high profile alt case or does this only work with the low profile keyboards?

erickongThat looks cool but I pre-ordered a high profile alt keyboard so I was wondering if these different cases would still work if I disassembled the high profile one and put the new aluminum cases on. Since the person above confirmed they are the same PCB then it should work. Thanks for the help!
