Product Description
The Drop ALT mechanical keyboard is just like the CTRL, but with 67 keys instead of 87. Absent of function keys, it wastes no space—but it still has a full set of arrows and numerals Read More

hey I just order it when do you think it will, ive been seeing comments of people waiting for months. Also do you think hyerX white pudding keycaps will fit on it, also i know the right shift is 1.75u so i will have to use a 1.5u key since i dont have a 1.75u extra key. My package says shipped but just wondering since I just changed my order from a ducky mecha mini to drop alt low profile due to shipping taking forever I also have the shop pay app and it says arrives wesdnday Nov. 18 2020 is that accurate?

This is a great keyboard when it works. Tried flashing it with the given tools through Drop and following the instructions through Github. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THE Drop configurator. Whatever is wrong with the file it will make this product useless.  The only way I was able to get this back and working was to use the QMK Configurator  https://config.qmk.fm/#/massdrop/alt/LAYOUT_65_ansi_blocker and QMK Toolbox https://qmk.fm/toolbox/. QMK Configurator select the keyboard this case massdrop/alt. There is only one layout and give it a name.  Make whatever changes you want to the keyboard you want. Then Select compile at top right.  Once that is done in the bottom right Download Firmware. Once you get QMK Toolbox Downloaded and installed on your Device.  For the Local File choose the file you got from QMK Configurator.  Choose the keyboard from qmk.fm in my case it was the massdrop/alt. Put your device in DFU mode by the reset button on the bottom of the board.  Select Flash and let it run and your done. This is what worked for me and was the only way I could get it back after a botched Flash using the Drop Configurator. The way I tested it once I got it working with the QMK file I went back and used the QMK Toolbox with the file form Drop Configurator an I ended up with the same dead keyboard results. Once I went back to the QMK Configurator file it worked perfectly again.
Did you flash the applet file instead of a configuration file perchance? In such a case, the keyboard will be unresponsive to typing, but it can still be flashed.

I did not, i used a custom file pulled directly from the drop specific file.

I just got my second ALT keyboard after wanting another one for a different keycap. I just noticed my brandnew alt-barebones LED on the 7 position doesn't light up at all even after a reset. Is this something I can troubleshoot or should I process a return?
If there is no visible damage on the PCBA (that could potentially be fixed if you were inclined), a replacement would be best.

They are doubleshot. The legends are translucent.

Really on the fence on this one...wanting to order, but all I need it for is the PCB, really. Will these be available soon? Seems like new cases are being sold left and right, but I've seen nothing on PCBs. Also, when the PCBs are for sale, will they include the hardware to be used with one of Drop's cases? Maybe as an add-on for those who need it?

Any new confirmed features that the updated PCB next year would have?
PCBA-mount switch support and cleaned up traces. PCBA-mount stab support is very likely, along with firmware updates.

The silent Gaterons are not available in the add-ons section, but the page suggests they are available. Which of these is correct? In addition to this, the page has no mention of the Gateron yellows, but these are listed in the add-ons.
(Edited)
They're sold out, our add-on options automatically remove sold-out options, but the page lists all eligible options. Sorry for the confusion!

No worries, thanks for clarifying. Looks like I was late this time, will be waiting until the next round.
