Product Description
Open up our compact ALT keyboard, and you’ll find its PCBA: the assembled printed control board, and the party responsible for many of the ALT’s crucial functions. It’s among the best in its class—and now, it’s available to buy as a standalone component Read More
ebah5 pin, south facing sockets and screw in stabs would make the drop alt op. Much of the ALT's potential is left on the table with the current pcb limitations. Recently bought the GMMK Pro, and modded and worked on the thing for more than 8 hours. The sound of the DROP ALT (except for the plate mount stabs) is far superior to the muted GMMK Pro. If drop released an updated PCB with 5 pin, south facing, sockets, and screw in stabs, I would be purchasing a few more ALT keyboards. The ALT also is really the only low profile flat incline keeb, making it much more ergonomic than the competition. The finish is also top notch, especially considering the price.
LukasMWill the 5 pin variants also ship with their sockets falling off with next to no solder? Also will you continue to reship broken PCBs with permanent marker drawn on them? We want the Drop experience.
This item doesn't look to be a normal stock piece at this point. If you go on the listing and request it you are more likely to see a restock as well as communication when the product is available.
Historically we continued selling cases to allow existing owners to change the color of their keyboard case, we now have standalone PCBs available again.
