Beautiful Kit

Let me start by saying how much I love how the DCX keycaps come packaged. It’s very organized with each keycap held in place within its own groove and spaced far enough apart to make it easy enough to take out each piece. The overall installation process is super simple compared to other keycap kits because of this.

As for the keycaps themselves, they are silky smooth to the touch like other DCX keycaps. The sound can be best described as slick and crisp. Probably my favorite sounding keycaps, I definitely prefer them over MT3’s.

The color is what really stands out here and probably what determines your purchase if you’ve already experienced DCX keycaps before. They look great to begin with but look even better in person than what is seen on the Drop website. The color grows on you the more you spend time with it. It gives nWo Wolfpac/Darth Vader vibes especially when put on a black keyboard like the Alt high profile I have.

Unique and interesting colorway

This DCX set is unique and interesting; Red is a bit dimmer (somewhat between V1 and P3 GMK standard color according to my eyes) than what you see on Drop official photos; Photos here are my best attempt to match what I see in person and on the screen (Macbook & Dell Ultrasharp) Hopefully this gives a better idea of what you could expect from the set.

Apart from the colorway, Drop DCX legend is thin and consistent as usual. At this level of consistency, I believe I only find on GMK and SP doubleshot ones. Hopefully they continue to have this quality for many sets to come. I can't comment on the novelty set though, but I will update the review once I get my hand on them.
