I'm thinking of buying the Kanto YU4 powered speakers to pair with this turntable, however they also have a phono preamp built in. I've heard that having a turntable and speakers with a built-in preamp can sound bad. Would this problem be fixed by switching the preamp to line instead of phono?

DinoBonesYep. You don't have to use the built-in phono preamp and can just switch it to passthrough.
