High quality and pair well with non-dark Extended 2048 caps

I purchased the accent modifiers to compliment my base set of the light colored MT3 Extended 2048 caps and they look and feel great. I'll definitely be purchasing more MT3 profile sets in the future.

Great MT3 profile, better than expected dye-sub

All you can expect from MT3 - nice scoops, deep-dishes and R5 bottom row is awesome! Too bad there isn't a Super homing kit like with 2048 Extended. The inclusion of 6u center stem spacebar in the base kit is a nice touch for Topre lovers, however it binds heavily with Deskey spacebar stabilizers on the HHKB. Not sure what happens there so got to take 1 star off.

Sane Sets and great colors

Works poorly with Topre (MX converted)

For starters, let me say that I have had absolutely zero issue installing other MT3 sets (LoTR, Serika, Susu/many of the different ABS sets) on my Topre boards (HHKB) with MX sliders. I received these almost two months ago and finally sat down to install them today. Of the 60 keys installed on the HHKB, 11 keys bind (become stuck on the bottom) when pressed. That's 18% of the installed keys. Doing a random sampling of the keys I'm not using also found additional keys that bind. To confirm that this is a key issue as opposed to a switch/slider issue, I tested the binding keys on multiple sliders. Keys that bind always bound regardless of which slider/switch it was installed on. Keys that did not bind worked fine on the sliders that bound on the bad keys. Again, this same exact keyboard/setup typically has MT3 keycaps installed without issue (in the past 4 months, it has had Dwarvish, Elvish, and Serika). I highly recommend skipping this set if you're planning to use these on Topre.

I've tried it on a few different boards / setups...ultimately, some keys always bind. For my spacebar though, while it is a super snug fit (probably fear-of-stems-eventually-cracking snug), it doesn't bind. I tried it on novatouch (Heavy Grail) and pbb (stock HHKB Pro 2 case) sliders/stabilizers. It sounds like the tolerances are all over the place for this set. I was debating on exchanging, but I imagine it would be darn near impossible to get a perfect set (especially since drop requires that the original set be returned first).

TopreLoveNow I remember having similar issues with KAT Refined WoB as well on the same hhkb, but the set works fine on non-hhkb topre boards (Realforce, Leopold). Guess it's what we have to deal with the nature of reverse-dyesub PBT, tolerances just can't be guarantee and everything is a crap shoot. I'll try this set on some other custom builds using Topre housings later on and report back.

Matte Black with Crisp Legends
