A dark version of a classic, inspired by a classic? That's right; biip is back yet again with some sculpted, spherical, dye-sub PBT goodness with the same iconic Apple flair as the original Extended 2048 set—this time in a dark flavor thanks to the reverse dye-sub technique.
This iteration also features updated kitting to make things a little easier to digest. 40s, ortho, and international are all still covered, along with the Apple-inspired novelty kit and color accents.
To help kick things off today, I took some moody (dark) photos of my own Apple AEKII board.
Can we please please have Colevrak/Typist kit, thats what drew me and a lot of other people to the OG extended 2048, and it also makes sense to include them to maintain feature parity
OMGolly, finally a dark version of this old-school Apple style. As crazy as dye-sub techniques have become, I'm really surprised that I've only ever found WOB (with the exception of the BOG from Qisan, which is exactly what I prefer; but haven't bought yet since the quality of the print and keycaps has been hard to confirm. They seem kinda cheap and thin).
NOW all we need is for Drop to figure out durable legends for their Keysterine sets so we can get their original 'renaissance' period where fun, bright colors were mandatory! 🤤
The Nomad kit looks fantastic, but please can we have a Colevrak/Typist kit? That is one of the things that I have appreciated about other MT3 sets, and it would make this an automatic purchase for me.
