The aviator has a screw-style lock, while the YC8 is a locking push-pull style connector. The aviator is larger in diameter and has visible screws on the strain reliefs. The YC8 is slimmer and sleeker looking in my opinion, and is my go-to connector now. It's insanely fun to fidget with as well.
