I like everything about it with the exception of a couple minor things. 1) It's on my keychain so it's going to get smushed against other items all the time. Because of this, I had some accidental turn ons while the light was in my pocket. I had to make a ring of plastic from some I had on hand, to raise the outside edge around the switch, therefore preventing any accidental activations. I did that within the first week of getting my first one of these (I got two since they are so awesome) and I've not had one single accidental activation since then, which was several months ago. Mine's all scratched up from being on my keychain (see photo) all these months but I don't care since it's a tool just like all my other EDC. 2) I wish there was a moonlight mode. Low is a bit bright for those times when you're in a dark environment and don't want to disturb anyone else, like in a movie theater. In that case, I would have to grab one of my other main

EDC lights (both Zebralight) and use it since they both have a true moonlight mode as a sublevel of mode 1.

Mine was gold which I didn't really care for, either but I just put it on my keychain and most of the color wore off over the last few months but it's still sort of gold. The lighting in the photo probably makes it appear like stainless. Actually, I just looked at the above photos and you can clearly see the gold in the cutouts of the clip. The accent ring that was gold on the light is worn and mostly silver now.

To date I have had 3 variations of this light (both in Ti and the current brass) and I like this To one the best just by pure luck of the draw I think. Even after my battery mishap two weeks later this light works like champ! I have one main complaint, I wish the lower mode was more of a sub-lumen "moonlight" mode but overall this is a great light if you are into small and cheap. I absolutely love the feel of the button and the ease of which it can be turned on and off. I have never had an accidental activation as I've heard others complain of buy I do not carry it in a pocket with any other items that might inadvertently hit the button. You don't want it to come on, then take some precautions but I think it is worth it for satisfaction and ease of use. After owning a limited run titanium Lumintop CPF special edition from a few years ago, I purchased both this blue Ti version and the other brass version here on Massdrop in Jan 2019. I think the clips are cheap and REALLY wish they wouldn't come pre-installed so they would not scratch the light when removed. I would like the option to install the cheap shitty clip if I chose to do so (no thanks!..) One note on durability about this light, I accidentally installed a white Sanyo Eneloop backwards into the blue Ti version of the light and sat it down for a couple minutes. I started smelling something burnt and picked it up and it was HOT! I quickly pulled out the battery and cooled everything down. The spring in the tail had gotten so hot that it deformed and lost it's shape to the point where the battery would just slide around inside the light. I pulled on the spring to bend it back outwards and after that the light worked! Reverse polarity protection is most likely not easy to do in such a small light but I'm glad I didn't kill my brand new $35 light on the first day. Comparatively the brass has a better tint even though they are both Nichia, I suppose that is just the tint lottery at work here? Great light for the price though, if I had to choose between the brass and this Ti version, and could only buy one of them I think I would go with the brass one. With the brass I like that I have the option to take the head off and swap batteries, with the Ti one it only comes apart at the tail switch but I do appreciate the added lightness. I have used both AAA Eneloops white cells and black Eneloop Pro batteries in these lights. I just did a run test on high between the blue Ti version and the brass. The brass beat out the Ti for some reason but only by a few minutes and on high they did run for the full claimed half hour although it was noticeably dimmer at the end. I'm unsure if it is damaging to the light to run on high unattended and they do get fairly hot after about 5-10 minutes but not burning my hand hot just slightly uncomfortable if I grab the light after leaving it in open air on a table. If I was to hand hold these lights I'm sure my clammy, fleshy meat-fist would wick away the heat no problem. Thank you massdrop! Solid value for these lights I will probably buy more.

Classier EDC Option
I bought this to replace my black EDC flashlight for the nicer occasions when I'm in a dress. The color scheme complements the other items in my dress carry. I knocked off a star because of the tailswitch, it is sensitive and regularly turns on in my pocket.

I received my massdrop Blue Titanium AAA Flashlight and Was really excited when I received it. This being the first item I have purchased from massdrop. I was really surprised on the size of the flashlight. It was small just like I wanted it to be. I wasn’t expecting it to be as small as it is. I love it! The different modes are really easy to switch from pne to the other. The flashlight is made of titanium and it feels pretty solid in your hand. It has some weight to it as well. The flashlight is a lot brighter then I had expected, because of it size. I will be doing alot more shopping on massdrop. I really am satisfied with my purchase of the Massdrop Blue Titanium AAA Flashlight and would definitely recommend to family and friends to purchase one if they ever get a chance to because they will not be disappointed.

Vidster69 The flaslight is nice and small and made out of Titanium . You can feel that this flashlight is a flashlight that will last a long time. The flashlight gives off more then enough light to see even on the darkest of nights.

Unreliable.
This is one of the nicest looking lights that I have and the blue titanium and brass color scheme is very appealing. (I also have the regular titanium and brass versions.) Unfortunately, the electronic power button in the tail cap in all of these lights is very unreliable. It will frequently simply stop working - just when you need it most. It can also often accidentally be turned on if the light is carried in a pocket or in a bag. This design flaw has been reported to Massdrop by dozens of customers over the years, but nothing has been done to address the problem. To make matters worse, the lights do not have a warranty beyond Massdrop's 30 day return period. There's a good chance that within a few months you'll be stuck with a pretty blue titanium paperweight. Buyer beware.

The machining appears to be unfinished on my light. There are several sharp burs on the checkering, and it looks like my light has already been used on a key-ring, despite not actually even coming with a keyring in the box as is indicated. Additionally, the corners around the keyring loop are EXTREMELY sharp, like opens-packages sharp. Quality is nothing like the Brass version purchased previously, quite disappointing considering I paid more for this light, and it's half-as well machined, despite material cost differences.

dotdropYep, I share your sentiment and found the brass to be smoothly finished while the rough edges on the blue ti have ripped up my fingers. Also my tail switch is not as responsive nor solid feeling. Bummer because this could have been 5-star.

zipsurfSame experience here. I purchased the blue titanium after really enjoying the copper version and it just feels much lower quality. Rougher machining, loose feeling switch, uneven blue finish, gritty threading.

This is a combination review. 3 stars for the flashlight, 1 star for MD & their "customer service". While this light lasted,it was pretty great, provided one made their peace with the limitations of a AAA battery. Whatever
Pros Lightweight Small carry footprint Body color looks good Decent battery life Reasonably good throw tone
Cons Only accepts AAA Embarrassing body color fading / chipping, far too quickly Clip is feeble Limited output Massdrop's pathetic excuse for customer service when it stops working. Absolutely inexcusable. Only thing more feeble than the clip, more embarrassing than the color fade & more limited than the light.
Would have been a 4 star review if this company gave a damn about the products that bear their name. Wrote & reached out multiple, no response. Just ridiculous, no excuse

Really like this light; however I have grown to detest the need to cycle through the light intensities to get to full bright every time I use it. It fits perfectly next to my Leatherman® Surge in the elastic loop that is part of the leather belt case. Happy to carry it with me, annoyed I have to press the switch multiple times for the only light setting I ever use.

The light cycling killed it for me
Love everything about it but how the light cycles you can never have a set Brightness. Don't understand why a flashlight that isnt super bright needs different modes 1 mode would work fine.

I bought a blue titanium AAA light after enjoying my copper one so much. Unfortunately, while the design is much the same, the execution falls a little short. Machining is not as precise or refined, finish is uneven, especially by the notch where you fit a keychain or split ring, the threading of the end cap is extremely gritty, even after cleaning and dry lubrication. Finally, the switch has quite a bit of play and lacks the precision feel of the copper model. Can't ask too much at $35 but the copper was even cheaper and feels like a quality piece. This one... not so much. EDIT: It's now late August 2019 and the light no longer works. It looks like the switch failed. On the upside, Drop's customer service has been excellent. I contacted them about the issue yesterday and got a shipping notice that the replacement is on its way to me today. EDIT: It's now early November 2019 and I'm on my FOURTH LIGHT. After the clip broke on the last one, which replaced a prior one with a faulty tail switch, MASSDROP/DROP/WHATEVER, sent me a replacement that was DOA. I'm so frickin' tried of Drop at this point. I don't want another replacement of this piece of hot garbage, I just want my money back.
