Disappointed, does Drop not give people who made the initial request any sort of pre-buy period? Many of us that were early in the request process were not able to make a purchase. I guess it does not matter as long as Drop is not sitting on inventory.
These kind of process issues lead to loss of customer trust, I'll keep an eye on the listing, hoping to purchase soon or I'm going to go a different direction. I'd like to see drop implement a First Come, First Served format. When the product is available, Drop emails the first group (1 - n where n is the number of devices on being made in the first batch) and gives each purchaser 24 hours to either log in and purchase, or decline their place in line. After the 24 hour period (or a decline), Drop moves down the list.
EVGA did this with their GPU waitlists and it was successful and fair.
DreadPirateDuoI too clicked the "Request" box, and then didn't even get an e-mail... There was only an internal (to Drop) Notification, which I only see if I log in to Drop... pointless. So, I found out the speakers dropped 6 hours after the fact.
