110 Lumens, 3 Modes, 1 AAA Battery

Made for the EDC Community, the Massdrop Brass AAA Pocket Flashlight is about the size of a tube of chapstick—but it pumps out 110 lumens and casts a beam as far as 154 feet (with the CREE XP-G2 R5 LED). Despite measuring less than 3 inches long, it weighs 1.5 ounces for a substantial feel in the hand. And thanks to its solid brass construction it will develop a natural patina over time, unique to each user. Perhaps best of all, it runs on a single AAA battery for a whopping 36 hours on low mode. At checkout, choose between the CREE XP-G3 LED, which casts a brighter white beam, and the Nichia 219C LED, which offers a warmer beam with superior color representation.

Note: Due to the popularity of this product, we’re having trouble keeping it in stock. Preorder now and we’ll reserve your spot in our next run, expected to ship December 16th.

At checkout, you’ll have your choice between the CREE XP-G3 LED and the Nichia 219C LED.

Additional Features

The flashlight’s solid brass body features knurling for grip in slippery conditions. And if you do happen to drop it in a river or pool, not to worry: It’s IPX-8 waterproof and 1.5-meter impact resistant. Attach it to your belt, hat, or pocket with the reversible clip, or remove the clip and slide the light into a breast pocket—the choice is yours. The clip is gold-plated to match the lustrous brass body, and the button piece is made from titanium. Plus, if you feel like reading or relaxing at camp, you can stand the light upright on its end.

"I mean, this absolutely is, in my opinion, one the best sub-$50 AAA flashlight one can buy today! Heck, it's one of the best sub-$75 or even sub-$100 AAA flashlight one can buy today!" - Bobraz (Massdrop community member)

"The brass, as a copper alloy, has an high density and therefore a weight significantly greater than the one would be obtained with light metals such as aluminum, but on the other hand offer excellent thermal conductivity..." - UPz (Candle Power Forums contributor)

"A solidly built and great looking AAA light that combines uncommon material with familiar looks, performance and reliability. " - will34 (Budget Light Forum contributor)

"Feels very compact and well built , and the light’s material , Brass , helps a lot in the “quality” feeling . It has a shiny look , which of course will develop a nice patina over time ." - giorgoskok (Budget Light Forum contributor)

"Overall the fit , feel , and finish of these lights is exceptional , especially to be such a small little light, The best build quality little EDC I have had the pleasure of owning to date." - robo819 (The Flashlight Forum contributor)

"Massdrop commissioned it from Lumintop to appeal to their EDC community and as such, I do believe it’ll be a hit. From the gold plated clip to the titanium button in the tail, a lot of thought has gone into this one." - DB Custom (Budget Light Forum contributor)

"...I was sent an early sample and was already impressed by the overall design. Brass flashlight AND a tailswitch? As a collector of Surefire and various solid metal lights, this is my ideal combination." - Cyphre (Massdrop community member)

The switch in these needs to actually get charged - so put a freshly charged cell in the light, and let it sit overnight. Then see if the light will work.Read More
