Perhaps the most interesting innovation in our CSTM keyboard line is the decorative top case, which can be easily interchanged and magnetically attached for different looks. In this run, we’re testing its metal—by making it metal. Available here are two new aluminum top cases for the compact CSTM65: one in silver, and one in black. Both have been sandblasted at an ultra-fine 240-grit level for satin finish not unlike that found on today’s MacBook Pros. Beyond the premium look, these aluminum top cases add a bit of extra weight to the CSTM65, making for a heftier typing experience that’s more than earned its metal.
