It looks like the Decorative case has a ship date of November 30th - is that a place holder? Or do we need to wait till next month to complete the barebones kit?

TopreLoveThat's correct, the decorative cases are expected to ship out in November. It should be closer to the beginning of the month than the end, but we always hedge the stated shipping date a bit to account for any unforeseen delays.
