First up is the brilliant brass weight, the heaviest of all the options, finished in a high-shine coating for oxidation resistance and extra opulence. Next are two PVD-coated stainless steel options: a stainless steel weight with a chromatic PVD coating, and a stainless steel weight with a mirror polish and a black PVD coating. Physical vapor deposition (PVD) describes a variety of vacuum deposition methods used to produce thin coatings on metals, ceramics, glass, and polymers. It’s part of what makes certain iconic smartphones the apple(s) of your eye—and now, it can do the same for the underside of your CSTM80 Keyboard.
