Drop CTRL Aluminum Case

Returning to the same proven CNC-machining process used to make the original CTRL, we’ve built a brand-new line of aluminum cases in five custom colorways. Inspired by the gray and earthy tones that define Drop keyboards, these colors fit right in on any CTRL—all while adding an unmissable accent that mech keys modders will love. Anodized with a vivid, non-toxic finish that won’t fade, each case comes with matching magnetic aluminum feet for easy height adjustment. All hardware and rubber pads are included.

If you own an original Massdrop CTRL keyboard, you’ll need to purchase a plastic LED diffuser (available as an add-on here) in order to ensure that your new CTRL case fits properly. Owners of the newer Drop CTRL keyboard do not need to purchase this diffuser.

For the first time ever, we’re bringing that same PCBA to our community members as a standalone component. Home to all electronics on the CTRL, the PCBA is responsible for everything from custom key commands to custom RGB settings. It also houses the CTRL’s hot-swappable switch sockets, which allow users to change switches without soldering; as well as the RGB LEDs themselves, which create over 16 million unique colors for brilliant backlighting.
