Can I put the components of the Drop Ctrl (low profile) into this Ctrl high-profile case?
The PCB will work, but you may need a different diffuser depending on how recent your keyboard is

So I’m assuming for those of us with the low profile CTRL we buy this and the diffuser, unscrew the old case and put it in this one?
You only need to buy a new diffuser if your keyboard is Massdrop branded (on the bottom). Otherwise yes, just take it apart and swap the components over to the new case.

If I don’t previously own any CTRl keyboards, what else do I have to get, besides the switches and keycaps
A circuit board and stabilizers

If I have a normal Drop CTRL (not high profile), do I need anything else in order to use this case? (Mine is not Massdrop either.)
Nope, you can swap your diffuser and PCB over to this case.

Is there any reason why the durock plate mounted stabilizers do not fit in this?
The ceramic coating adds a tiny bit of thickness to the case. For stabilizers that were already tight without the coating, it can be the difference between them fitting or not. I have had success very carefully filing/sanding off the coating in the stabilizer slots to make tighter ones fit. Just be careful to not remove too much material if you attempt this.
