Solid board, with some kinks.
I bought this as a new daily use board, and it replaced my old Code 87 (with Cherry Clears). Overall, I'm pretty happy with the experience: it's a little bit loud when it bottoms out, but that's not a big deal for me, and I love the buttery feel of Halo Clears for typing (I type about 3 to 5 k words a day for work).
However, I've noticed some stickiness with keys (double letters on certain keys - that sort of thing) that have impacted my experience a bit. It's nothing game-breaking (I'm having trouble reproducing it while typing this review, for instance), just annoying, but it's not something I'd expect at this price-point.
It could just be that I've got a wonky switch or two. I own an ALT with the same configuration, and I haven't had any similar issues with it, so this could be a QC issue, or just ghosts in the machine. Either way, it felt appropriate to mention it here.
Would recommend to a friend.
Re-flash the firmware / update the keyboard and it should be all fine, i had the same issue and this resolved it for me and many more community members :)
Huh! Thanks for the advice. I've tried it, but the issue still seems to be popping up. Any additional recommendations? I used the firmware generator and loader from here to flash my firmware, but I've never messed with firmware before, so I'm not sure I did it right (or that it worked).
Drop should really be offering a replacement pcb for boards like yours. I'm willing to bet they'll be willing to help if you've already tried the firmware.
