Build quality is decent. Body color represented on the drop page doesn't accurately reflect the coloring of the actual production units which are a much lighter color and more shiny, but it still looks nice enough. My unit was received with two LEDs that won't display amount of red (both in the underglow, not on any of they keyswitch LEDs) which smacks of an issue with the testing/QC processes. The lighting that does work correctly looks great. Color transitions are smooth and there's no flickering. Here's hoping Massdrop can resolve my LED issues (I would have given this 4 stars, just knocking off one for the case color, but the blown LEDs are a major issue that should have been caught before shipping).
Edit (9-17) - Received a replacement CTRL which also has a failed LED in the underglow.
Edit (10-3) - I've now received two replacement CTRLs, both of which have the same kind of LED failures as the first one. Rather than go for a refund (as I like the board apart from the LED issues), I've disassembled two of them and swapped LEDs around to make one working unit. Getting one unit with defects I can understand. Getting two with the same defect I can even accept, though it's frustrating. Getting three, all failing in exactly the same way is beyond maddening and frankly unacceptable quality control, especially considering bad LEDs are so easy to test for. Now I have to pack up the other two bad ones and ship them back to Massdrop, but I do finally have a fully working keyboard.

chucktdriscollI came here to mention the same issue with a blown LED, and also only with red and only on the underglow.
Mine is front and center between my hands/under the spacebar which is super irritating.

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
