JadMaktabiThe Razer board is only aluminum on the top and plastic on the bottom where the CTRL is all aluminium (besides the side strips for rgb). Also the CTRL has a larger feature set with qmk and hot swap sockets.
JadMaktabiI agree that the Razer is overpriced. Like @Ginron said, only the plate is aluminum, which is pretty common in keyboards anyway. Also I can almost guarantee that the keycaps it comes with are made of cheap ABS, so they will shine from finger oils over time.
Hot swap sockets are also a big selling point for this keyboard. I play lots a rhythm games, so I am excited to be able to try out new switches on the fly, but that might not matter to you. In addition, this keyboard has great programming features.
The wrist rest and ten key are nice on the Razer though. The RGB software for Razer is supposed to be pretty good as well. It just seems a bit costly compared to other "gaming" keyboard offerings though...
JadMaktabiThe "cooler master masterkeys pro rgb" is a similar keyboard ($150)
Any corsair keyboard is cheaper than this.
The "Glorious GMMK keyboard" is a similar keyboard (w/ hot swap sockets) ($115 [+$25 for their wrist rest])
You can preorder a "Wooting two" keyboard for $150. It is an analog keyboard with a ton of cool features. The wooting one (a TKL model) has a great review from Chyrosan22 on youtube, an absolute keyboard SNOB. To top it all off, its hot swappable as well.
By far the most compelling keyboard on this list is the wooting. The features of their analog switches put Razer's opto-mechanical switches to shame + its hotswappable + its cheaper. I highly recommend you look into it.
kxrider85Yeah that is what they advertise it for and honestly that it the only advantage with that keyboard, it's not that I don't like it though it's just not my style
