Hello, I'm thinking of buying this keyboard. I'm curious if the led is on the switches or is it on the pcb of the keyboard?

JadMaktabiThanks for the reply! So does that mean if one of my key switches led breaks, can I just replace that with another switch and it will work again?

naokuronaoYes. You can replace the switches as this keyboard has hot switches.

naokuronaoThe LEDs are on the PCB not the switches. This allows you to swap switches without soldering.

Johnny831Thanks for the reply! Thank you for clearifying! Do you happen to know how well these leds are? In terms of longevity.

naokuronaoNo idea. Long time. You'd have to ask the manufacture of the led lol. I wouldn't worry about something like that.

naokuronaoNo. LEDs are on the pcb never on the switch. On this particular pcb, the LEDs do not pass through the switch housing, which is why you can replace the switch without soldering. If an LEDs goes out on this pcb, you need to unsolder, then solder in a new one. Most likely you would ask MD for a new pcb.
