I've had my Massdrop CTRL keyboard for about a month now and so far, I am loving it.
I originally purchased my CTRL with Halo True switches as they were the only switches available at the time. I had never used Halo switches before, so I thought I'd give them a shot. Unfortunately, the switches were quite stiff and uncomfortable to type on. I went ahead and purchased Cherry MX brown switches and now I absolutely love typing on the CTRL. The hot swap feature of this keyboard made changing the switches a breeze! The provided keycap and switch pullers were also greatly appreciated.
The build quality of the keyboard is excellent. The aluminum frame is solid and has a nice weight to it. The texture of the keys prevents your fingers from slipping on them as you type but is not so rough that it hurts your fingers. The raised keycaps make cleaning this keyboard pretty easy.
The USB-C ports on both sides of the keyboard are a nice touch, giving you some flexibility with cable management. The unused USB-C port doubles as a pass-through port, so you can plug in your USB-C devices directly into your keyboard, which is pretty convenient.
I have no complaints about the RGB lighting. My experience with RGB keyboards is limited to be honest, but so far I've enjoyed the plethora of lighting options that come pre-installed on the CTRL.
While this has not been an issue for me, I think it should be noted that the magnetic feet do come off quite easily if you shift the keyboard side-to-side. This might be annoying for some, especially if you slide your keyboard around frequently.
While the $199 price tag for this keyboard is quite steep, you are getting a quality product that you almost certainly will enjoy.

MrSaltyI bought a lot of switches for this keyboard from Aliexpress pretty sure they ship all over the world. It might take a while to get there but I order like 5 kind of switches and switching them around with different set-ups is kinda fun.

codykalaI've noticed that the Cherry MX Brown Switches says "RGB" does that mean that the others dont have RGB, I'm confused? How was the Halo True Switches?
