I have a technical question for both the Massdrop Ctrl and Alt keyboards. They don't seem to be working when connected to an iPad pro via USB C to USB C cable. When using a USB-C to A adapter in between, it does work. The same iPad and USB C cables work fine when tested with an Input Club K-Type, so I'm trying to figure out how to get it working with my Massdrop boards. Has anyone tried this or know more about why USB-C to USB-C is any different from having an adapter in the middle?

threepacMy first tougth was that your adapter ad maybe a converter like example taking serial data and convert it to usart data but you said you used a type C connected to the keyboard, then the other end a type A connected to two female type A then back to type C and it work ? The only thing that I can think of is that a type C can be connect ether way but that one of them don't support it but again it's kind of impossible, well, can't help you. I can only try guessing the problem but I'm interested in finding the answer. Good luck

threepacFWIW, I purchase a USB 2.0, USCB-C to USB-C cable from mono price and it seems to be working with my iPad Pro. Still some quirks but it’s unclear whether it’s iOS or the keyboard being weird. Seems like the massdrop keyboards aren’t playing friendly with USB 3.1 (and maybe 3.0), but are ok with 2.0 for some reason.

threepacI have noticed this as well, trying to get cables to work with it is a strange challenge. Some cables that are type c usb 2.0 seem to work (6' Belkin cables for instance), but anything made for the high power loads, thunderbolt 3, or 3.1 gen2 does not seem to work at all. Blinking orange light, but no board boot. Thought maybe plugging a 2.0 into a 3.1 gen two right angle extension might work, and sometimes, but not always, it does. Not sure what exactly is going on here.
