Are issues with LED lights defaulting when reconnecting and key chatter issues been fixed? It's putting me on the fence with this?

I have a Massdrop Ctrl and was wondering if there would be any implications if I connected my LFKPad using the right USB C port. I know this is a power hungry board and was going to get a few custom cables. So currently my set up is PC to CTRL and PC to LFKPad. Can I just do PC to CTRL to LKFPad?

Hello everyone, So my CTRL just arrived. I've been having a considerable amount of issues with it that lead me to believe it might be power related. The keyboard will sometimes just shut off - reboot fixes it. My Corsair Sabre mouse no longer works unless I unplug it and plug it back in after each boot of my PC When I'm typing, one key at random might repeatedly press itself endlessly The only way I could even get the keyboard to be recognized by my computer was by plugging into the yellow "charging" usb port on my motherboard. Any help would really be appreciated. Would an external powered USB hub fix this issue?

Ah ok. I love this product now that it's working. Having said that, I wish there was clear and easy to find documentation that told people before they bought it / upon arrival like "HEY...THIS THING SUCKS DOWN A LOT OF POWER!!!! Don't freak out if it isn't working." I sure did...

How long has the black version been available? Are the ones on Amazon actually sold by Drop?

This might be a really stupid question, but is there anyway for me to find out when this will be back in stock? Thank you.

Hey folks, My new CTRL board tends to drop power briefly, regardless of what USB port I use. A brief description of the issue: my board will briefly power down (lights go out, inputs don't register) and power back up within a second or two (prompting my PC audio for a device being connected). The issue very much resembles if I were to unplug and replug in the keyboard, with the LEDs going back to the default rainbow setting. Is this a known issue with the newer boards or user error? I've read about this being an issue with the first run of these boards and have also read that this issue can occur if using a USB 2.0 port. I have tried both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports with the same results. Is there another setting I need to adjust? I'm on a Windows 10 desktop, if that matters. Thanks!

If you're using a desktop with specially-marked "powered USB ports" those will work great. (some OEMs call them "charging ports" and some OEMs mark them as red USB ports, though that was recently reused for USB 3.1 Gen 2) USB3 ports are a good bet, too.

Is there any chance of ever getting a numpad to match my CTRL? I like having it separate so I can move it out of the way. Right now, I have a Ducky which I love, but it doesn't match.

did drop change anything about the poor light diffusion of the light strip? I've heard bad things in reviews and i know that they fixed the strength of the magnets so they might've looked into the led's too
