I'm assuming you need adjustable trekking poles for this?

vertigo220Adjustable poles are ideal, since the actual peak height will vary on uneven ground. But one design consideration was to make it usable with fixed length poles. 120cm (47.2") are perhaps the most popular length, and the X-Mid has 46-46.5" tall peaks, so you could pitch with it 120 cm poles at a slightly angle to take up the extra 1/2" or so of length. Or use 115cm poles and sometimes put a little rock under them etc. With any trekking pole shelter adjustable poles are ideal, but the X-Mid works as well with fixed length poles as possible.

dandurstonOrdered the x mid 1p. I have nice 130cm poles and see the peak height and that 120cm are ideal. I cannot find whether 130cm would even be possible? Sorry for the ignorance here. I'm new to trek pole tents and math.

PThebe130cm is too long. it would lift up the fly quite a bit and also lift the floor up too much. Adjustable poles are best, but if they are fixed length then it needs to be 115-120cm.
